Edward R Tufte ignited the Presentation world with his PowerPoint is Evil essay for Wired. It explained how bad design can kill. His Visual Display of Information is the definitive guide on how to present numbers.

Chris and Trish Myers wrote the Bible for Motion Graphics in their groundbreaking Creating Motion Graphics with After Effects. When Chris lived in LA, he used to volunteer for their User Group, Motion Graphics of Los Angeles. The group eventually became DMALA.
Chris Rogers was Mark Coleran‘s assistant at After Effects West conference. Mark was one of the first motion graphics designers working in Hollywood and helped blaze the trail for future artists.
Jayse Hansen is one of the top Motion Graphics Designers working today. You have seen his work in many Hollywood blockbusters. When Chris first moved to Las Vegas, Jayse was 1 of 2 people he knew.
